Privacy at Rentyourfriend
This page describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have. Written in plain language so you actually understand it.
What we collect
- Account basics: name, email, mobile, gender, date of birth, city.
- Profile content: photos you upload and a private verification selfie if you are female.
- Activity: chat messages, call permissions, reports you submit, blocks you set.
- Location: a private latitude/longitude when you opt in, used only for nearby discovery.
- Payments: Cashfree handles the card or UPI details. We see only the order and status.
Who can see what
Other members see your name, age, city, looking-for, interests, and approved photos. They never see your email, mobile, verification selfie, or precise location.
Verification selfies
Selfies are reviewed only by trained moderators. We do not show them on profiles, sell them, or use them to train external face-recognition systems.
Calls and messages
Audio calls connect directly between members through encrypted WebRTC. We do not store call audio. Chat messages are stored only so members can read their conversation history.
Your controls
- You can update your profile, city, and photos at any time.
- Block someone to remove them from your discovery and prevent contact.
- Email support@rentyourfriend.in to delete your account or request a copy of your data.
Children
Rentyourfriend is for adults 18+ only. Accounts that violate this rule are removed.
Updates
If we change how this works, we will update this page and email anyone whose account is active.
